Project looking for a Publisher
✦ Intro
There’s a big festival coming. Everyone gets important tasks — except for Kukukho, the little firefly.
But Lion has a plan. Actually, he has many. He’s packed boxes, drawn diagrams, and organized everything. And most importantly — he invites Kukukho to join. Because no one should feel left out.

✦ About the Book
This story is about initiative, inclusion, and the joy of planning.
Lion is a thoughtful and slightly nerdy hero who writes out plans, collects fireworks, and helps others.
While the world is full of chaos and fun — he finds purpose in structure. And yet, his biggest strength isn’t in organizing. It’s in caring.

This is a book about how a small act of kindness can light up the whole tree.
✦ From Sketch to Spread
The book was developed from quick pencil thumbnails to full-color digital spreads.
You can see below the rough layout phase: how characters moved, how the rhythm of the page was set, and how the balance between action and clarity was achieved.

📖 Early sketches:
→ Full storyboard thumbnails.
→ Value and composition explorations.
→ Scene rhythm via page turns.

One of the most exciting (and sometimes most torturous) parts of making a picture book is finding the right visual voice — not just “my style,” but the style that truly fits this story.
✦ Visual Style
📚 Final illustrations:
→ Digital drawing with textured brushes.
→ Bold color blocking and layered shading.
→ Movement and humor through shapes and diagonals.
Bright, warm color palette with bold contrast.
Characters with expressive shapes and minimal outlines.
Lots of small visual jokes and extras in the background (mice on giraffes, sleeping leopards, etc).
Hidden plans, lists, labels, fireworks, and food — organized chaos.
The end!
