Project looking for a Publisher
✦ Intro
Through Snowy Paths is a lyrical picture book about a white cat with two different eyes who walks through snow, fire, and silence — searching for warmth and belonging.
On the surface, it's a story of being lost and finding home.
But it’s also something more: a quiet tale about fading, surrender, and the soft hand that carries you into light.

✦ About the Book
This book tells two stories at once.
The first is visible: a cat is left behind in the chaos of war. He wanders through an uncertain, burning world. He walks through ruins, wind, and fear — and in the end, he finds a new family.

The second story is hidden beneath:
The moment Snowy collapses from exhaustion and hunger, the world shifts. The hand that lifts him is not just human — it is an angel’s. The glowing creatures around him become gentle guides. What follows may not be rescue, but a passage — into a tender, soft afterlife. A cat’s heaven. A final home.

✦ Sketches and Process
This book began as a quiet idea in the margins of my sketchbook — just a small cat, a lot of snow, and a sense of something sacred.
I started with tiny pencil thumbnails, focusing on rhythm and contrast rather than detail. From there, I explored different page turns, visual metaphors, and pacing — working in silence to let the story breathe.
The final illustrations were built in digital media, but I tried to preserve the softness of watercolor and the raw feeling of the sketch phase. The cold, the light, the hush — all had to be felt.

✦ Visual Language
The book is mostly wordless — the story unfolds through light, texture, rhythm, and symbolism.
Each spread was carefully built to hold both meanings: the literal and the metaphoric.
Each spread was carefully built to hold both meanings: the literal and the metaphoric.
The fire can be both destruction and release.
The birds can be both messengers and omens.
The snow is not just weather — it is stillness, waiting, forgetting.
And in the end, spring comes.
Whether real or imagined, it is warm, full of flowers, and someone is waiting.

✦ Symbolism Highlights
Heterochromia: Snowy’s two eyes reflect dual vision — life and beyond.
The hand: Not just a rescue — but a soft divine gesture.
The final light: A blooming field, a small house in the distance — not always on this side of reality.
The people: Perhaps new friends, perhaps those who have always been waiting.

✦ Final Paragraph
This story was born from a quiet thought:
That even in loss, there is gentleness. That someone small, scared, and silent still deserves beauty at the end of the road.

Whether this is a story of rescue — or farewell — is for the reader to decide.

✦ Looking for a Publisher
“Through Snowy Paths” doesn’t have a publisher yet. Together with my art agent, we’re looking for the right home for this story — someone who believes in quiet books, in visual poetry, and in the emotional lives of animals and children.
If this book speaks to you — we would love to talk.
